Clubs, teams, trips and events run through the year at Boldmere Junior School.
At Boldmere Junior School, we aim to give our children the opportunity to participate in as many clubs as they can after-school and during lunchtime. Through our work with the school council, and through pupil voice, we aim to offer clubs that maximise children’s interest.
To ensure all children get the opportunity to play sport competitively, we ensure that house events are held each term.
As a school, we see our residential trips as the perfect opportunity for the children to have new experiences with different activities that they wouldn’t get to do in a normal school day — this leads children to develop their independence skills, their ability to problem solve, and to increase their understanding of the importance of working as part of a constructive team whilst also having lots of fun!
Teams across the school compete through the year, including sports hall athletics, dodgeball, tag rugby, football and cross country.
Instrumental lessons run through the week at Boldmere Junior School, before school, at lunchtime and after school.
Children from the school take part in Young Voices, the mass children’s choir concert.
